Bay Ship & Yacht completed maintenance of Ozark Lady.

Alameda, CA, December 1, 2008 – Bay Ship & Yacht Co. completed routine maintenance on the 128' aluminum motor yacht Ozark Lady. The Ozark Lady was hauled out using Bay Ship’s modern Syncrolift® and transferred to dry-berth in mid-October to undergo:

         - Bottom surface preparation
         - Painting, blasting and recoating of water tanks
         - Propeller analysis and tuning

Bay Ship & Yacht is the only shipyard in California utilizing Syncrolift® technology to allow vessels measuring up to 200 feet in length, 45 feet in beam, and up to a 1200 ton displacement, to be safely lifted and transferred onto a dry-berth ship maintenance facility with over 1,000 linear feet of track way, providing land based dry-berth workstations for repairs.

Bay Propeller experts conducted a detailed cleaning, analysis and truing of the Ozark Lady’s propellers to improve vessel performance and speed.

With more than 30 years of maritime experience, Bay Ship & Yacht understands the nuances and performance considerations for the selection and application of marine coatings. Their in-house paint department, consisting of highly trained and experienced yacht coating specialists, employed the latest and most environmentally sound application techniques to ensure the flawless coverage best suited for the Ozark Lady.
