On November 17, 2023, the owners of Bay Ship & Yacht Co., Bill Elliott and Alan Cameron, announced the sale of their company to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) trust. 

 

Bay Ship & Yacht Co. has been located in Alameda, CA for just under 30 years and is one of the largest employers in the City.  This transaction provides a method for all present and future BSY employees to participate in shared ownership of the company through a retirement savings program.  Bill and Alan selected this option for selling BSY as the best way to ensure the continued success of the company and to give the hardworking BSY workers a stake in the enterprise.
